Walter Hearn is a husband, a father and a visual artist. Following an enjoyable career as Principal and Designer for his graphic design firm, he has returned to his first love: drawing and painting.

Although Hearn’s work reflects a naturalistic approach to the beauty found in nature, he seeks to look beyond the visible to integrate elements that may be unseen on first glance . . . abstract shapes, geometric forms, those beautiful nuances that appear in God’s creation and that touch our souls and our emotions.

Hearn earned B.A. and B.F.A. degrees from Western Carolina University.

He and his wife, Diane, reside in Blacksburg, VA and are parents to two adult daughters.
